
On this tour you will visit Morelia and Pazcuaro, where you can still see the Purepechas on the island in the middle of the lake. Also, you will visit Guadalajara city and the city of Guanajuato, historic patrimony of humanity by Unesco. Then you will go to San Miguel Allende, an appealing colonial village, which has several unusual buildings such as the Municipal Palace, the house of the Mayorazgo de la Canal, the Allende Institute of Art and Culture, the royal convent of La Concepcion. At last visit the colonial jewel of Queretaro and travel back to Mexico City.
Day 1: Arrive in Mexico - Toluca - Morelia - Patzcuaro
Morning departure by bus from Mexico City to Toluca highway through the Desert of the Lions and La Marquesa National Park on the way to Morelia. City sightseeing and continue to Patzcuaro. Overnight at Posada Don Vasco Hotel.
Day 2: Patzcuaro - Guadalajara
Breakfast at the hotel. City tour of Patzcuaro, including the Library, the House of the Eleven Patios. Main Plaza and the Basílica de la Salud. Continue to Guadalajara. Overnight at Holiday Inn Centro Histórico hotel or similar. B
Day 3: Guadalajara / Tequila
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning, departure to Tequila town and visit Hacienda San Jose del Refugio to know the process for elaboration of tequila. Then visit the pottery village of Tlaquepaque, the largest handicraft center in Mexico. Lunch included. Return to Guadalajara. Overnight at Holiday Inn Centro Historico hotel or similar. B, L
Day 4: Guadalajara - Guanajuato
Visit “Tlaquepaque”, the largest handicraft center in Mexico. Here you will find some of the best bargains for clay figures, blown glass, paper mache, tin ware, pottery, etc. After lunch continue the journey to the City of Guanajuato. Visit of this beautiful city, considered by Unesco to be part of the “Historic Patrimony of Humanity” with its underground streets and opulent 18th century civil and religious architecture, made possible by the rich lodes of gold and silver nearby. Visit the main buildings Overnight at Mision Guanajuato hotel. B
Day 5: Guanajuato - San Miguel de Allende
Transfer to San Miguel de Allende City, on arrival city sightseeing. This appealing colonial village has several unusual buildings such as the Municipal Palace, the house of the Mayorazgo de la Canal, the Allende Institute of Art and Culture, the royal Convent of La Concepcion, etc. Overnight at BW Monteverde Express. Day 6: San Miguel de Allende - Queretaro - Mexico City
Transfer to the city of Queretaro, the last of the colonial jewels on the trip. The outstanding buildings to be seen are: the House of La Corregidora, the Palace of the Marquise de la Villa del Villar del Aguila and the house of the Count of Sierra Gorda. Return to Mexico City. B
