This weekend trip takes you through the heart of the city, visiting the cathedral, the National Palace and the Palace of Fine Arts. Tour the Anthropology Museum, the archaeological site of Teotihuacan, the Guadalupe shrine, the National Mexico University and the Xochimilco floating boats.
Day 1: Arrival in Mexico (Friday)
Arrival to Mexico City International airport, reception and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2: Mexico City - Tour of central and northern Mexico City
The tour starts in the historical center of Mexico City, visit the Zocalo, the cathedral, the National Palace and Palace of Fine Arts. Drive along the Reforma Avenue to Chapultepec Park, to the residential area of the city, to get a complete impression of one of the biggest cities in the world. Visit the Anthropology Museum, one of the world’s best museums. A guided tour for a general overview of the pre-hispanic history of Meso-America. Drive to the northern part of the city to the famous Pyramids of Teotihuacan. On the way, visit the Virgin of Guadalupe shrine. On arrival at Teotihuacan, guided tour and free time for climbing the pyramids or wandering around. Return to your hotel. B
Day 3: Mexico City - Tour of southern Mexico City
The tour will go to the most southern part of Mexico City, passing by the University City with its famous library onto the traditional floating gardens of Xochimilco. Boat ride along the channels. Afternoon free time to explore the city on your own or depending on the season, a visit to a traditional bullfight can be arranged. Return to your hotel. B
Day 4: Fly out from Mexico
Departure on your own (a transfer to the airport or an extension trip can be arranged). B
